Overview
The Samyang 50mm F1.2 AS UMC CS Lens is a manual focus lens for mirrorless cameras with APS-C or smaller sized sensor. Equivalent to short telephoto lens, equivalent to 75mm on 1.5x crop APS-C sensor, 80mm on 1.6x Crop (Canon M) or 100mm lens on 2x crop MFT sensor) which is a great lens for close cropped portraits, and other applications requiring a short, fast telephoto lens. With a relatively compact size and weight for such a fast aperture lens results in an easily portable and unobtrusive compact lens, great for candid or low light street photography.

The Samyang 50mm f1.2 is a fully manual lens, with bright f1.2 aperture, together with 9 circular bladed aperture offers beautiful bokeh, and separation of the background with shallow depth of field photography.

This lens features 9 elements in 7 groups including 2 glass aspherical lenses (ASP) to offer high resolution and edge to edge sharpness throughout the image. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) of Samyang Optics is used to optimize the light transmission and minimizes artefacts such as internal reflections, flare and ghosting.

The solid frame of the lens is made of high-strength aluminium alloy. As the lens is specifically designed for the mirrorless Compact System Cameras (CSC) such as Sony NEX / ILCE, Olympus PEN / OM-D, Panasonic Lumix G, Blackmagic MFT, Fujifilm X, and Canon EOS M series the Samyang 50mm f1.2 lens is compact and lightweight, weighing less than 390g, making it a very portable lens for such a fast aperture.

The lens features a detachable petal-shaped lens hood, and is available for 4 mirror-less camera mounts: Sony E, Micro Four Thirds (MFT), Fujifilm X mount and Canon M. Accepts standard screw in filters: Filter size: 62mm
